We have had the privilege of restoring works of art for the Beer Can House, a folk art site in Houston, and Cool Globes, an international traveling exhibit.

The Beer Can House, created by John Milkovich in the 1960s-80s, is one of Houston’s unique treasures. This site was acquired by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art and was restored and made available for public visitation in 2008. Our task was to document, manage, and over-see the restoration process. Using donated beer cans, a volunteer force, and many hours of pain-staking care, we were able to put a new shine on this whimsical work of art.

Cool Globes is a public art collection that brings attention to environmental issues and solutions. This traveling exhibit began in Chicago in 2007 and has toured twelve cities across the United States and Europe. Before their placement at Houston’s Discovery Green in 2009, we provided various structural repairs and cosmetic touch-ups needed from two years of travel and outdoor weather.
